35ºC

It is SO hot here in Cascais, Portugal, that I spent the whole day sitting by the pool, napping with my dog in the shade and I also took my brother and sister to the BEST icecream shop in the World. For me, at least.
It's this tiny shop that only locals know about, and it always has a queue, but icecreams are soo delicious. I opted for vanilla, coffee and raspberry today. yummyy.
Tonight Portugal is playing against Spain and I hope we win!! (so does my sister, as you can see, ha).

Skin

I was looking at my tummy today thinking about skin. So I decided to post this. People don't really think about how important their skin is sometimes but really, it makes such a huge difference having good skin or bad one. Noone wants to look 40 when they're in their twenties, noone enjoys being sunburnt, yet some of us don't always take the best care of our skin.

So here are some facts about *skin*

- skin is the largest organ in the human body
- its made of three layers (epidermis, dermis and hypodermis)
- skin loses about 30,000 to 40,000 dead skin cells from the surface every minute, but we don't see it happening
- the place where the skin is thinest is the eyelids
- goosebumps are little pimples that help retain a layer of warm air over our body
- to avoid skin from aging always use sun block
- it is very important to always keep skin hydrated
- smoking is bad for the skin
- skin cancer is the most common of cancers among men and women

so... wear sun cream & take care of your skin!

Last Days in the UK

I'm off to Portugal for the summer (2 months!) so I spent my last days in England with my boyfriend at his house in High Hurstwood. It's so nice there, we have fields, animals, flowers, pool, tennis, and luckily sunshine! We camped out in field for Chris' 21st birthday, had a big summer party where everyone was dancing. We also went for drinks at a local pub and I had two really yummy glasses of Pimm's.

Bye bye england, see you in September! x

Brussels

I went to Brussels when I was 8 years old, I moved there with my mum. After living in Portugal, it was quite difficult to change - leave my dad, friends, the sea... - but I soon got used to it and I loved my school, the European School. That's where I met most of my best friends, it was life changing to be somewhere where there were people from all over europe, and we learnt different languages (i now speak english, portuguese, french and dutch properly).
This month I went to Brussels with my friend Karolina, to show her one of my home towns.
This is what we did - eating, going out, dancing with G unit (!!), more eating, drinking, relaxing, talking, laughing. It was a really good week!
Typical Belgian things:
- belgian waffles (the real thing)
- 500 types of beers
- Grand Place and Manneken Pis
- and last but not least, BELGIAN CHOCOLATE mmmmmmmmm

if any of you guys (i hope someone reads this) want to come to brussels, give me a shout :)

I cut my hair and now it's too SHORT. :(

But it will grow...or I will just get used to it.

Here is the before and after.

Shakira

I love her hair! (and her body and her dancing). I even considered dying my hair black and then blonde again, haha. Maybe after the summer I'll do a perm?

Royal Park

Catarina and I had a free night at the Royal Park Hotel in London! Fun times, free champagne and chocolate on our pillows, something I could get used to ha! Or could I?
The pictures underneath are Notting Hill (love love) and Hyde Park.
